5 Days in Bariloche: an Itinerary for Nature Lovers

Day 1 – Circuito Chico and Cerro Campanario

On your first day in Bariloche, we suggest taking the famous Circuito Chico, a tour that covers about 60 km and passes by attractions such as the San Pedro Peninsula, El Trébol Lagoon, Cerro Llao Llao, and the San Eduardo Chapel.

Beyond the Circuito Chico, Cerro Campanario is a place that simply can't be missed on your itinerary. With a 360-degree panoramic view, it is considered one of the most beautiful lookout points in the world.

Day 2 – Cerro Catedral and Refugio Lynch

On the second day, we suggest visiting Cerro Catedral, one of Latin America's leading ski resorts. Even if you don't ski, it's well worth heading up the mountain to take in the incredible view of the city.

For lunch, we recommend Refugio Lynch, a restaurant set on the mountain that serves typical Argentine dishes, such as the famous Patagonian lamb.

Day 3 – Victoria Island and the Arrayanes Forest

On the third day, we suggest taking a boat trip to Isla Victoria and the Bosque de Arrayanes. Isla Victoria is an island located on Lake Nahuel Huapi, home to a forest reserve with a wide variety of fauna and flora.

The Bosque de Arrayanes, in turn, is a forest of trees with smooth white bark that exists only in the Bariloche region.

The boat trip includes a walk through Isla Victoria and a stop at the Bosque de Arrayanes, where you can explore the forest and take incredible photos. The tour usually includes a guide to explain the characteristics of the local fauna and flora.

Day 4 – Route of the 7 Lakes and Villa La Angostura

On your last day in Bariloche, we suggest visiting Cerro Otto, a mountain about 1,400 meters high that offers a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding mountains. You can ride up by cable car, and at the top there is a revolving lookout that provides a 360-degree view.

Beyond the incredible view, Cerro Otto offers a variety of attractions, such as an art gallery, a chocolate museum, and a snow-activities center. You can also try the famous Swiss cheese fondue at one of the local restaurants.
